Bis(2,4,4-Trimethylpentyl)-Phosphinic Acid (ZD272,CAS NO 83411-71-6) instructions to use

 

Bis(2,4,4‑trimethylpentyl)phosphinic acid (chemical formula C₁₆H₃₅O₂P ),which uses

cation exchange mode to complex with target metal ions by releasing H⁺  ,Enrichment

and separation of nickel-cobalt, nickel-magnesium,manganese-calcium and rare earth

elements, especially suitable for separation of nickel-magnesium, manganese-calcium.

 

The concentration of extractant ZD272  (CYANEX 272 Equivalent CAS NO 83411-71-6) is controlled

at10%-20%; the saponification rate isgenerally controlled at 40%-55%; the saponification temperature

of 30-55℃ is appropriate,.The most economic temperature is 40-45 ℃. Saponification time control in

about 5min.

 

System temperature is low, saponification crystallization is a normal phenomenon. in order to avoid

the creation of a serious crystallization section, in addition to the liquid and organic phase heating, it

is recommended that the low rate of saponification (5% -10%) running for one to two days at the

beginning of flushing tank, waiting the system temperature increases, and then gradually raise the rate

of saponification to the design level.

 

Concentration and saponification rate is too high will cause the viscosity of the organic phase

increases, the split phase slows down and easy to cause entrapment.

 

Saponification temperature is too low will easily cause soap salt precipitation. A small amount of

soap salts do not affect the extraction process. Saponification temperature is too high, the dilluent

volatilization is serious, resulting in deterioration of the working environment.

 

The system temperature increases, the extractant concentration and saponification rate can be

increased appropriately.

 

As a result of flushing the tank at low temperatures have formed crystals, it is recommended

to scoop out and put in the washing or reverse extraction section to dissolve.

 

The new extraction system is easy to bring in more silicon and aluminum and other elements,

similar to the soap salts of the product, the solid in the acid and alkali as well as solvent solubility

are not large, heating can not be completely dissolved, but can be in the continuous cycle process

as a three-phase discharge system if the liquid content of silicon and aluminum exceeds the

standard, further purification of the material solution.

 

♦  Because of the metal ions have extraction limits, it is recommended that the first enrichment

and then extraction of impurities. Because if First remove impurities and then enrichment,

impurities may be synchronized due to enrichment and exceed the standard.
